Overview
FlyOver Canada is an immersive flight-ride experience at Canada Place that uses motion seating, wind, mist, and scent effects to simulate a helicopter journey across Canada's landscapes, from Newfoundland's coast to the Rocky Mountains.
Highlights
- The Ride: An 8-minute flight simulation projected on a 20-metre spherical screen with tilting, rising seats.
- Pre-Show: A multi-sensory introduction exploring Canada's history and geography.
- Seasonal Rides: Special themed flights for holidays including Halloween and Christmas editions.
History
Opened in 2013 and inspired by Soarin' at Disney parks, the attraction was developed by Rick Rothschild, a former Walt Disney Imagineer. It was the first stand-alone flight-ride attraction in Canada.
