Overview
SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium is a large aquarium on the banks of the Yarra River, home to over 10,000 marine animals. Its Oceanarium is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

History
Opened in 2000, the aquarium was designed by Peddle Thorp Architects. Originally Melbourne Aquarium, it was rebranded as SEA LIFE in 2013 after acquisition by Merlin Entertainments.
