Overview
The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel is a giant observation wheel standing 120 metres tall at Docklands. One of only four giant observation wheels in the world, it offers panoramic views across Melbourne, Port Phillip Bay, and the Dandenong Ranges.

History
The current wheel opened in 2013, replacing a previous wheel that was dismantled due to structural concerns in 2009. It was designed by Sanoyas Hishino Meisho Corporation and is modelled on the London Eye.
