Xinbeitou Hot Spring Park is a landscaped geothermal park in the Beitou district, centered around steaming sulfur springs and the dramatic, jade-green Thermal Valley (Hell Valley).

History
Beitou's hot springs were first developed during the Japanese colonial period (1895–1945), when the area became a popular resort town. The public baths and ryokan-style inns gave it the nickname "the Hakone of Taiwan."
