The Maokong Gondola is a 4.03-km cable car system that whisks passengers from Taipei Zoo up to the hillside tea plantations of Maokong, offering spectacular views of the city along the way.

History
Opened in 2007, the gondola system was built by the French company Poma. After repairs due to typhoon damage, it reopened in 2010 with enhanced safety features and has been a beloved Taipei attraction since.
