The National Textile Museum (Muzium Tekstil Negara) is housed in a striking Indo-Saracenic colonial building near Merdeka Square. Its four floors showcase Malaysia's rich textile heritage—from bark cloth and Iban ikat weaving to Malay songket and Peranakan beadwork.
The museum opened in 2010 in a 1905 building originally designed as the railway company headquarters. Its Indo-Saracenic architecture mirrors the Sultan Abdul Samad Building across the square.
