KL Bird Park is the world's largest covered bird park, spanning 20.9 acres within the Lake Gardens. Its four free-flight zones house over 3,000 birds from 200 species, with minimal caging—visitors walk through vast netted aviaries alongside hornbills, flamingos, and parrots.
Opened in 1991 as part of the Lake Gardens redevelopment, the park was designed to showcase Malaysia's extraordinary avian biodiversity. It is managed by KL Bird Park Sdn Bhd under a government concession.
