Overview
A vast olive grove and ornamental garden built by the Almohads in the 12th century. The green-tiled pavilion reflected in a large basin with the Atlas Mountains beyond is one of Morocco's most photographed scenes.

History
Almohad caliph Abd el-Moumen created the gardens around 1157. The pavilion was rebuilt by Sultan Abderrahmane in the 19th century.
