Kolaportið is Reykjavík's only flea market, held every weekend inside the old harbour-side customs warehouse. It's a treasure trove of second-hand books, vintage clothing, Icelandic music, and local food specialities like hákarl (fermented shark) and harðfiskur (dried fish).
Kolaportið has operated since 1989 in the old customs house by the harbour. The name roughly translates to "coal harbour porch," referencing the building's past use for coal storage. It has become a Saturday institution for locals and tourists alike.
