Stoneybatter is one of Dublin's oldest and most characterful neighbourhoods — a formerly working-class village within the city now known for its independent cafés, craft pubs, vintage shops, and strong community spirit.
Stoneybatter's name derives from the Irish "Bóthar na gCloch" (road of the stones), an ancient route from the city. It has been continuously inhabited since Viking times and retains much of its red-brick Victorian streetscape.
