Torre Branca

Overview

Torre Branca is a 108-meter steel observation tower in Parco Sempione, designed by the legendary architect Gio Ponti for the 1933 Milan Triennale.

History

Built in just two and a half months for the V Triennial Exhibition in 1933, the tower was originally named Torre Littoria. It was renamed after the Branca family who funded its restoration in 2002 following a period of closure.

Visitor Tips

• Weather Dependent: The tower closes in strong winds and during rain; call ahead to confirm.
• Capacity: Only 5-6 people fit in the tiny glass-enclosed elevator; expect waits on busy weekends.
