Parco Sempione is Milan's largest central park, a 47-hectare English-style landscape garden stretching from Castello Sforzesco to the Arco della Pace.

History
The park was created in 1888 on the former Piazza d'Armi (military parade ground) behind the castle. Landscape architect Emilio Alemagna designed it in the English romantic style with winding paths, artificial hills, and a lake.
