Łazienki Park is Warsaw's most beautiful green space—76 hectares of landscaped gardens, palaces, and waterways centred on the Palace on the Isle, an elegant 18th-century summer residence mirrored in its lake.
Built by the last Polish king, Stanisław August Poniatowski, as a retreat from the Royal Castle. The 'Łazienki' name refers to the 17th-century bathing pavilion that preceded the palace.
