Taejongdae is a dramatic coastal park on the southern tip of Yeongdo Island, with rocky cliffs, dense forest, a lighthouse, and expansive ocean views — on clear days, you can see Japan's Tsushima Island 50 km away.
Named after King Taejong Muyeol of Silla (654 AD), who reportedly practiced archery here. The cliffs have been a beloved scenic spot for centuries, inspiring Korean poets and painters.
