The Posillipo coastline is a clifftop promontory west of Naples, offering some of the most beautiful views in southern Italy. Walking from Marechiaro to Parco Virgiliano takes you past fishermen's coves, villa gardens, and the panorama of Capri.
Posillipo (from the Greek 'Pausilypon', meaning 'relief from worry') has been a retreat since Roman times. Virgil is said to be buried nearby.
