Overview
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world, covering 70,000 m² on a hill above the Vltava. Home to Bohemian kings, Holy Roman Emperors, and Czech presidents, its silhouette defines the city skyline.

History
Founded around 870 AD by Prince Bořivoj, the castle has been continuously rebuilt through Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque periods. It entered the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest castle complex.
Visitor Tips
- Circuit A or B: Circuit B (main sights) is sufficient for most visitors.
- Morning entry: Gates open at 06:00; ticket offices at 09:00. Arrive early to explore the grounds.
