Yıldız Park is a sprawling hillside park on the European shore of the Bosphorus, once the imperial grounds of Yıldız Palace. Its wooded trails, Ottoman pavilions, and Bosphorus viewpoints offer a lush escape from the city.
The park was the private garden of the Yıldız Palace complex, expanded by Sultan Abdülhamid II in the late 19th century. He was famously reclusive and spent most of his 33-year reign within these grounds.
