Fram Museum

Overview

Built around the polar vessel Fram, visitors can board the actual ship that sailed farther north and south than any other wooden vessel.

History

Built in 1892 with a rounded hull designed to rise above crushing pack ice. Completed three polar expeditions 1893–1912.
