The Museum of Natural Sciences (Muséum des Sciences Naturelles) is home to the world's largest collection of Iguanodon dinosaur skeletons — 30 specimens discovered in a Belgian coal mine in 1878.
Founded in 1846, the museum is part of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The Iguanodon discovery at Bernissart mine in 1878 was one of the most significant palaeontological finds in history.
