Madrid's cable car connects Parque del Oeste to the heart of Casa de Campo, gliding 2.5 kilometres over the Manzanares River valley at heights of up to 40 metres above ground.

History
Inaugurated in 1969 and modernized in 2005, the Teleférico was originally built as a recreational attraction to connect the city centre with the vast Casa de Campo park. Its design follows the monocable detachable gondola system.
