Highlights
- Scale: The vast industrial space allows for ambitious, large-scale installations rarely possible in central London galleries.
- Free entry: Despite its commercial status, all exhibitions are free and open to the public.
- Artist roster: Shows by globally significant artists — a chance to see museum-quality work in an intimate setting.
History
Jay Jopling opened the original White Cube in Duke Street, St James's, in 1993. The Bermondsey space opened in 2011, becoming the gallery's primary venue and one of the largest commercial galleries in Europe.
