Overview
Summit One Vanderbilt is an immersive, multi-sensory observation experience atop the One Vanderbilt skyscraper, combining panoramic views with mirrored infinity rooms and interactive art installations.
Highlights
- Air: A massive room of floor-to-ceiling mirrors and reflective silver balloons creating disorienting, dreamlike reflections of the city below.
- Levitation: Glass-bottomed skyboxes projecting out from the building's edge, 306 meters above Madison Avenue, with transparent floors.
- Unity: A two-story infinity mirror room reflecting the Manhattan skyline in every direction endlessly.
History
Opened in October 2021, conceived as a fundamentally different kind of observation deck — less about simply looking at views and more about experiencing them through immersive, Instagram-ready art environments.
Visitor Tips
- Socks: Visitors must remove their shoes and wear provided grip socks for the mirrored floor installations.
- Golden Hour: Sunset tickets are the most popular and expensive. Early morning tickets are cheaper and less crowded.
- Duration: 1–1.5 hours.
