Overview
Radio City Music Hall is a spectacular 6,015-seat Art Deco theater in Rockefeller Center, known as the "Showplace of the Nation." It is the largest indoor theater in the world and a National Historic Landmark.

History
Opened on December 27, 1932, designed by Donald Deskey in the sleek Art Deco style. Originally intended as a variety theater, it pivoted to movies and stage shows. It was saved from demolition in 1978 and designated a landmark in 1979.
