Overview
Domino Park is a stunning 6-acre waterfront park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, built on the site of the former Domino Sugar Refinery — the largest sugar refinery in the world for over a century.
Highlights
- Industrial Relics: Massive original sugar refinery artifacts — syrup tanks, crane tracks, and raw sugar columns — are dramatically integrated into the park's landscape design.
- Waterfront Esplanade: A quarter-mile waterfront walk offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, the Williamsburg Bridge, and river traffic.
- The Taco Stand: The popular Danny Meyer-backed taco restaurant and beach-bar vibe make it a social destination.
History
The Domino Sugar Refinery operated from 1856 to 2004, processing over half of America's sugar supply at its peak. The park opened in 2018 as part of a major mixed-use redevelopment of the refinery site.
Visitor Tips
- Weekend Crowds: The park gets very crowded on sunny weekend afternoons. Visit on weekday evenings for a more relaxed experience.

- Duration: 30–60 minutes.
