The STRAT (formerly Stratosphere) Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States at 1,149 feet. The observation deck on the 108th floor offers 360-degree views of Las Vegas and the surrounding desert.

Valley of Fire State Park is Nevada's oldest and largest state park, covering 46,000 acres of brilliant red Aztec sandstone formations 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The landscape includes 3,000-year-old petroglyphs and petrified wood.

Skye Canyon Park offers elevated views of the Las Vegas Valley from the northwest foothills, particularly spectacular at sunset when the Strip lights begin to glow against the darkening desert.
