Viewpoints in Ljubljana

The lookout tower within Ljubljana Castle provides the highest accessible viewpoint in the city center. A spiral climb leads to a platform with unobstructed views in every direction.

Nebotičnik ("Skyscraper") is a 1933 Art Deco high-rise that was once the tallest residential building in Central Europe. Its rooftop café and terrace offer one of the best 360-degree views of Ljubljana.

Šmarna Gora is a 669-meter hill north of Ljubljana, beloved by locals as an easy half-day hike with sweeping panoramic views. The summit hosts a small church, a mountain hut serving traditional Slovenian food, and views stretching to the Julian Alps.
