The National Gallery of Modern Art Mumbai is home to one of India's most important collections of modern and contemporary Indian art. Housed in Sir Cowasji Jehangir Hall, a distinctive circular Art Deco building near the Gateway of India, it features works from the mid-19th century to the present.

Jehangir Art Gallery is Mumbai's most prominent public art gallery, located in the Kala Ghoda arts precinct. Founded in 1952, it hosts a constantly rotating programme of exhibitions spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media by both established and emerging Indian artists.

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) Mumbai is housed in a renovated heritage building on MG Road, displaying contemporary and modern Indian art from the 1850s onward — a complement to the Jehangir Art Gallery next door.
