Viewpoints in Kochi

Vasco da Gama Square is a paved waterfront promenade near the Chinese fishing nets at the tip of Fort Kochi, named after the Portuguese explorer who arrived in Kochi in 1498. It is one of the most popular sunset-watching spots in the city.

Marine Drive is a scenic pedestrian promenade stretching along the backwaters in Ernakulam, offering views of the harbor, Willingdon Island, and the Kochi skyline. Modeled loosely after the Mumbai Marine Drive, it has become one of Kochi's most popular waterfront areas.

The Vypeen Lighthouse is an old Portuguese-era lighthouse on Vypeen Island, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, the Kochi harbor entrance, and the surrounding islands from its observation platform. It is one of the few accessible lighthouses in Kerala.
